No it has not topped out yet, and the opening will be in 2009. August!

The is one tall hotel---an engineering marvel! Does anyone know the opening date?

It is now opened, I've been there a few times, on the 63rd floor you can visit the bar, and there you have a spectacular view on Burj Dubai. The name is now The Address Hotel though, but I liked the original name more.

Dubai is a nice place. It is also belong to the top rich country. With it's beautiful and big building, no wonder that there are many travelers or tourists that wanted to live in Dubai. That is why when I see the pictures of the contracted building in your post, the only thing I could see is that, it is very unique to other hotels I have seen before.
